Collide

We never collide straight on.
Always in
a frantic spin.
Never been sustained this long.
Make it up
and it all goes wrong.
Just sitting in on it all.
Facing north,
heading south.
The further we go
the smaller it seems,
but always larger than life on TV.
A second to breathe is what we need.
Can’t even stay together with ourselves.
I wonder why I even wonder anymore.
We’ve gotten so strange, we’re boring,
ignored every warning
’til, we can’t even look and see us
Jesus isn’t the one who needs us
suprised sometimes he still believes in us
’cause we never collide,
straight on,
anymore.
